Every paper at the University should have at least one Student Representative. This representative is elected by the Students of the paper to liaise between the teaching staff and students of the paper; to pass on any class concerns or positive feedback about the paper; and to represent the class at the Subject Forum.
Students who are elected onto the Subject Forum also have the opportunity to represent students on the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences Board of Studies, The University Academic Board, or the University Council. The Student Representation system ensures that a student viewpoint is represented at all levels of University management.
More information on the Student Rep system can be found on the Student Rep webpage or by contacting the Student Support Advisor. The Student Support Advisor, located in the Student Services Building (room G.18), provides training and support for the Student Representatives, as well as organising student representation on various university committees. Contact the Student Support Advisor on telephone 838 4466 extension 6264 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
